Any one out there done this car for remote start/keyless...I tried to use the factory arm/disarm wires for lock and unlock but no luck getting it to work.  The wires are WHITE/ black and blue/red (pin 20 and 22) these wires rest 12volts but do nothing when testing.  DEI says that they should work with neg. trigger (they must be the right wires because i cut them and the factory swith stops working.    Next issue is the brake. Sometimes the brake wire is showing 4volts (result the remote stops working.  After trying to fix the brake issue some functions in the car have stopped working.  There is a light on the dash that is coming on upon remote start it is like a sun with a ! in the center this just started.  The 556uw works good with some modifcations.  HELP the car is in the bay overnight!!!!!

The lock and unlocks are correct, the best place to pick them up is in the driver's kick panel, the loom coming from the drivers door, they are neg going and will shut down  the factory alarm.  Use a 556U but only use the the GREY VALET key in it.  Wire it as for European cars (I know it's built in the USA), that is cut the aerial loop off and wire to the two leads coming from the ign key antenna.  MUST wire the car's acc lead  (purple) to 2nd ignition.  DEI's lock/unlock colours were sometimes listed the wrong way round and if testing shut the opposite door and throw the lock catch on the door at the side you're working.  Voltage at the brake switch, forget it it's CAN pick-up. They are  in one of the floor looms, blue/black or GREEN/ black for 12volts, whilst you're there, trunk contact is white /brown and trunk release is grey/light green. Can't tell you which side 'cause I'm working from right hand drive vehicles. Two points, place diodes band towards the light on the RED / yellow trunk light power feeds, otherwise the alarm will trigger on arming every 2 or 3 times. Trunk release, run your trunk release aux (RED / white on DEI products) through a small relay (8166?) at 5amps to feed a pos voltage directly to the grey/green. That's it, dead easy when you've done them and learned the tricks.  Two things, we don't use key sense here, so I can't tell you if it's relevant, second tach is a thin black at the underdash OBD ll socket, next to it is a puddle lamp, connect (purple) door contact wire from your alarm to the RED / black for dome light, don't bother with dome supervision, it's already built in to the car's unlock circuits.

Wow. You gift wapped it and sent it prepaid.
Ideal - cmon dude, add to topics in a useful manner, not stuff that is obvious.
Story - Phzzzt! Hey, what happened?! ... Isn't it obvious?
Moral - Never dismiss the obvious.
