aps 997a, 97 blazer

hows it going im currently installing a APS-997A on a 1997 Chevy blazer and i pretty much have everything hooked up except the outputs..and im looking for guidance....see pic below My 97 Blazers Wiring *1: this is the alternate ignition harness....is this still needed to run with the 97 blazer? and if so where would i hook it up? *2: these are the outputs im not sure where these would go....and if id need the diesel wait to start? *3: then this is the channel outs which im also unsure of there correct connections thanks -Two1nine

I agree with flobee4, but I'll add a little more: 1. Not needed. ORANGE / black only if your car has a turbo engine, and even then, it's still optional. If you prefer your installation to power up ALL of your car's ignition and accessory circuits, you could: Connect the RED / black to constant power. Connect the pink to the car's brown heavy-gauge accessory wire in the steering column. Go into the programming menu and for the Ignition 3 output, select "as accessory." However, I've never powered up the brown second-accessory wire in a Blazer, and I've never had problems. 2. What he said. The wait-to-start wire should be hooked up to nothing. Those other two outputs, you could use for whatever you want. 3. If you'd like, you can open your rear hatch glass, using the relay as mentioned. The blue Channel 3 output makes a pulse if you hold down the remote start button for four seconds. Four seconds is a long time, and you'll hate it....don't use the blue wire. The GREEN/ black Channel 3 makes an output when you hit the Option button. That's the best one to use for the rear hatch. P.S. From the factory, the remote is configured like this: Channel 3 blue: Push and hold remote start button. Channel 4 GREEN/ black: Push Option button. Channels 5, 6, and 7 are NOT programmed to the remote. You'd have to re-program the remotes yourself, using any combination of buttons you want to activate these features.
