i have a mazda mx3 2 door, it appears to have central door locking, (no alarm) when i push the lock on drivers side it locks and unlocks passenger side, i am having a alarm fitted soon and the guy told me that these cars don't come with a actuator or motor on drivers side and told me to buy a 2 wire actuator/ motor with fitting kit, they want to charge about £50 to install this when they install the alarm to activate remote locking. can i install this and where should i connect the 2 wires from the motor to?. my last honda civic had the same locking unit and i 'm sure i can fit this on first myself to avoid the charge.

thanks

ken

You only need to buy one actuator and install it to the driver's side door. When the driver's side actuates the locking system the passengerside does the same. You will need two relays wired into the alarm system like this: Actuators / Reverse Polarity
