04 monte carlo locks problem

Ok i hooked up a Prestige (audiovox) ap997 alarm but i cant get the lock to work i read the direct alarm install wiring diagram. their are three wires for the locks a green, red, RED / black. i hooked up the green wire for the unlock and it unlocks i tried hooking up a 470 resistor for the RED / black lock but it want work i have tried. to use two relays but had no luck. i need some help guys

orange with black stripe wire for your locks this is a multiplex, a neg (-) through a 480 ohm resistor will lock all the doors and a staight neg (-) on the same wire will unlock the doors

so 470 ohm resistors dont work and what way should i wire the relays up

Look at the top of this page, click door locks, click single wire locks, look at Ford Probe. These are similar but different as in your case pin 87 gets grounded instead of 12volts(because they are negative locks) and the resistor goes on lock not unlock.

Ok so the relay is still going to have power running to it through 85 and ground 87 run locks to 86 and resistor to   from 30? Should i use two relays or one.

You need two relays, one for both lock and unlock. Wire it as you stated and you will be fine...
