Has anyone installed keyless entry on a 84 Mercedes 300sd?
Tried one today and all i got was doors would lock and then unlock again.I used the blue wire in the driver kick panel which rests at ground when locked and 12 volt when unlocked.
I did use a system with 3sec door lock pulse.
This vehicle centrally locks all the doors only from drivers door (nothing from passenger door or trunk).
The only other way i see is to add an actuator in the driver door. How difficult would this be?
Any feedback would be appreciated.
Thanks

It seems to me that you may have a damaged switch in the driver door I had this problem a while ago with an 87 300e.
did you use the vaccuum lock relay diagram in the relay section?
Also there are usually 2 blue wires in the kick did you verify that is was the correct wire

Yes,I did use the relay configuration for vacuum door lock system and i did test both blue wires before getting the correct one.

Try routing over to the equivalent GREEN wire on the other side, it sounds like a vacuum tube might have become dislodged in the area of that door , if you tried the door key and your BLUE cable worked correctly, ie neg when locked and pos when unlocked, it can't be the driver's door switch. Try using the key at the trunk switch and see what happens.

Make sure the relay wires 'from the driver's door' and 'to the vacuum pump' are not swapped.

Thanks for all the info guys.I installed an aftermarket actuator in the drivers door.
Central locking did not work on passengers door or from the trunk and the drivers door key barrel either. It only worked from the door lock knob on the drivers door.
