Well I bought a Viper 791xv locally off of Craigslist and I am missing 5 items.. I am installing it on a 2003 Hyundai Tiburon GT 6 Speed and I am getting it installed professionally. I am getting Alarm and Key Less Entry installed, I am not doing the Remote Start. I can describe which wires I am missing below:
missing few harnesses from viper 791xv -- posted image.
1. The Blue LED Light Wire
2. The Shut Off Switch Wire
3. The Red plug Harness Next to the Shut off switch Wire.
4. The Skinny set of wires next to the Antenna
5. The Hood Pin
What I am really concerned about as to the system actually working is number 3 and 4, as I have a factory Hood Pin allready and the blue LED wire is not required nor is the Shut off Switch wire.. Although I will be getting those installed as well, Right now I want to get just the Alarm and Key Less ready to go! If anyone knows weather or not I would NEED those wires or not please let me know! Thanks in Advance!

the wire next to the antenna wire would be the shock sensor cable, you would'nt really need this per say, it's not crictical in the functionality of the alarm, but you would not have any impact protection that's all, the harness next to your cut off switch controls factory alarm disarm/rearm, second unlock, and wait to start input and other auxillary channels 4 and 5, if you require any of these functions you will need that cable. the switch, any on/off switch would work just as well.

Sorry I don't know If i Made it clear enough.. I meant the Wire next to the Antenna it self.. not next to the antenna wire. and for the factory arm/disarm wire.. would that allow my car to atleast lock, unlock remotely and arm and disarm my new alarm? If not where would I be able to get this cable it self.. it is the 6 pin H2 Harness. so would I need the switch off cable or the Blue LED cable or can I get those installed later when I order those cables?? Also, can I use my factory hood switch/pin?

yes that's the same cable we're talking about the h2 six pin harness, you don't need the switch for the remote start, the installer could just ground the neutral switch wire, unless your transmission is manual, the led is also not mandatory for system operation, you would just be without visual detterent, i don't know if your specific vehicle has a factory alarm, maybe someone else can chime in there, if not, then that h2 harness won't be necessary,

i forgot to mention in my earlier post, yes you can use your factory pinswitch, and also i won't be able to tell you where you can get the h2 six pin harness, as you notice where i'm from, but if you're having it professionally installed, ask the installer if he has one lying around somewhere, i'm sure he just might, depending on how regularly he deals in dei, if not maybe you have a best buy or circuit city close by, or a reputable electronics store.

Well I got it installed today.. And he did not use the H2 Harness, he gave me the LED bulb that he had from an old system and he did not install the factory Hood Switch to the Viper, He said that he does not use em anymore..? Anyways my 2003 Hyundai Tiburon does not have auto day and night headlights/parking lights, they are manual either both off, parking lights on, or headlight and parking like on. When I have the switch on both off, and I get out of the car and arm it/lock it, it flashes the parking light.. but when I have it as parking only on or headlight and parking on, the parking lights stay on even after I arm/lock it.. How can I make my parking lights flash no matter which position the switch is in? Also the Domelight does not turn on when I disarm the lock.. I just got back so I will call in with these questions tomorrow.. but I just want a general Idea here..

doesn't hook the hood switch, why, it's there for a reason, to prevent accidental remote starting while the hood is opened, which can cause issues for the persons who later on have to perform tune ups and engine services to your vehicle, also you're saying you want the alarm to flash your lights even though they're turned on, this may require more work than neccesary for such an application, in any event the alarm would only need to flash the lights for arm/disarm, and remote start confirmation, so the lights should'nt be left on prior to any of the above actions in any case, thirdly, you'll have to connect domelight supervision, BLACK/ white on the h1 harness.

I did not install the Remote Start part of the system.. Where is the wire ran to from the factory hood pin?? I can connect it that way, because I did not get a hood pin in the viper box.. So what you are saying is if i get out of my car at night time when my switch is in the position for the headlights and the parking lights to be on, I have to put them in the both off position before I get out and arm the alarm? also, if my key is out of the ignition.. why does do the lights stay on??

yes i assume you would switch off your lights before exit, i know i would, to avoid having to borrow the neighbour's battery in the morning, lol, the lights remain on because the circuits are powerd directly from the switch, and not via ignition.
