I'm thinking of installing an extra siren in my alarm system, where can I find unique sirens?

When you refer to " UNIQUE" do you mean a piezo siren or a multi tone siren?

Back in the days, Siren's used to be built with an actuall Resistor, Capacitor, Transistor circuit and you could change values on some of the resistors & caps to get a Unique sound,  but nowadays, they use a chip to create those pre-programed, lame, like everybody elses sirens.    Some of them, you can scratch off all traces except for one to get the one sound you like rather then all 6.

However, as far a finding unique sirens, I'm not sure if anyones making them the "traditional" way.

You can try www.partsexpress.com

Thanks guys, I didn't have a preference in type, I just wanted something with a different sound to it, to make the alert stand apart from other alarms.

A buddy of mine put two sirens in his system, one sounds like an old "ring down" siren used for things like weather alerts, you definitely can tell his alarm when it goes off, and its loud to.

Thanks again Jeff and Thinkster, I appreciate it!
