I am confused about this Omega IM01 Module. I have installed a Ultrastart 2280 into a 2000 Chevy Imapala LS (3.8L) I believe I have installed the alarm and module wrong. I had relized that the IM01 module was not working right. I started looking into the harness and this is what I did.

(Omega IM01)

I wired the Violet wire to the ODBII wire. I wired my ground wire to chassis ground and my hot to a constant 12volts. That is all I have connected

(Ultrastart 2280)

I do not have any of the remote start wires connected. I did connect my siren wires connected. Thats ok. But then I connected the Pink wire #7 to the brake light switch.  Then I connected the Green & Blue wires for the Output to activate the lock/unlock door, Can't remember what wires but its working. (It's late and dont live in a great nieghbohood to be out right now) I then connected the Ground to the same ground as the IM01 module and the same with the 12volts. I also connected the "Ground when Running" wire to the Ultrastart ( while running output-bypass turn on) ooh ya and my trunk release wire, #4 to RED / black - thats working

I had boughten this set up thinking it was going to be easy to install and the guy made it seem like they way i did it. but I think I made it hard. After reading in this forum and other web sight I think I am way off. Was I suppose to wire the IM01 Module to the Alarm module and the IM01 would control the door locks, the trunk, the lights, the ignition.??

Can someone please help me. I would like to know if I have the right Omega Module for the Alarm/ remote start alarm. Amd if I did wire it wrong. I do have another question. The alarm has a connector that says "Bypass Module Data Communication Port"  and on the Omega IM01 diagram I see were there should be a harness from one to the other. The harness that i got has the wrong end for the alarm/ remote start module.  So, now I am thinking if I had that I would just connect that wire and I would be good.

I really want to say thanks in advance for your help, I think I know what i should do but am still unsure of myself.

Thank Again

GT

Thanks for the info but I was looking for mor info on the IM01 Module. I wanted to connected the Alarm to the IM01 , like the door, lights, Trigger and trunk. This is what I think I should do but not sure.

IM01 bypass module

Pin 1 – Brown (input) – Ground when running output  Of Starter Remote  Connected to WHITE/ Violet  (-) While running output (bypass turn on)

Pin 2 – Green (input) – Lock Output wire  Connect to PIN 1- GREEN Wire- Negative Lock Output (13 pin harness)

Pin 3 - Blue (input) – Unlock Output wire  Connect to PIN 3- BLUE Wire- Negative Unlock Output (13 pin harness)

Pin 4 – Violet/White (output) – Door sense trigger Input wire  Connect to (?) not sure. I think on Pin 13 – Green wire (Neg. door input)

Pin 5 – Violet (Data) Connect to OBDII pin 2

Pin 6 – Pink/White  Not used

Pin 7 – Pink (Input) – Aux 1 – Think not needed

Pin 8 – Orange (input) – Trunk Release  Connect to Pin 4 – RED / White  Trunk Release (13 pin harness)

Pin 9 – Red (input) – Constant 12volts Connect to !2volts

Pin 10 Black (input) – Chassis Ground Connect to Ground
