I have a compustar CM4200-DX installed in my 07 scion TC manual. I am trying to change some of the options using the remote and I'm partly successful.
For instance, I have changed it so the parking lights are on continuously while remote started instead of flashing. That works fine now. Then I tried to change the automatic locking setting to use the tach sense to lock when it reaches a certain RPM (doors lock when you start to drive away), instead of when the key is in and the doors are closed. I forgot what option number that was. I was successful in achieving this until I shut down the car and restarted it later. It seemed to revert to the previous setting. I've reprogrammed it but the same thing happens. Drive Lock is selected and displayed on the remote.
I am also trying to get the horn to honk when I lock/unlock the doors. No matter how many times I select that option it stays silent. I know I have the white wire connected to the correct wire on the car because when I press panic the horn honks.
Any ideas?
Thanks

I don't have any access to a programmer. That would probably make things easier. I think I figured it out though. If I used my factory key fob to unlock and lock the doors the options don't work, but if I use the compustar remote everything is fine. I just have to break the habit of using the buttons on the scion key.
Thanks for the response.

Remove the battery from your factory key. That shoud help. BTW when you program RPM lock. I do think its double your idle, is when its suppose to lock. I would just do normal drive lock though.

"dont ground out!"
