Hi,

I am in the process of installing a Viper 5901 unit.
I am okay installing and configuring the alarm portion without complications.
I need assistance with the remote start installation – specifically H3 and remote start sections.
On the H3 section:
H3/1 – pink – ignition 1 input/output
H3/2 – RED / violet – (+) 30a fused ignition 2 / flex relay input 87
H3/3 – orange – accessory output
H3/4 – violet – starter output
H3/5 – green – starter input
H3/6 – red (+) 30a fused ignition 1 relay input
H3/7 – pink/white – (+) ignition 2 flex relay output
H3/8 – pink/black – 87a of ignition 2 flex relay
H3/9 – RED / black – (+) 30a fused accessory/starter relay inputs
Remote start 5 pin input
1 – BLACK/ white – (-) neutral safety switch
2 – violet/white – tachometer input wire
3 – brown – (+) brake shutdown input wire
4 – gray – n/o or n/c (-) hood pin switch input
5 – blue/white – (-) 2nd status / rear defogger output

Remote start 5 pin aux output are all (-) and 200ma

1 – pink/white – flex relay control output
2 – orange - accessory output
3 – violet - starter output
4 – pink – ignition 1 ouput
5 – blue – status output

On my 2006 Jeep Wrangler X, I have the directechs vehicle printout and am using:

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp~TID~86038
I have a normal key – no special computer chip.
Starter – pink/orange +
Ignition – pink/lt.green +
Brake wire – WHITE/ tan +
Hood pin – from box
No second or third ignition

I have read the relay wiring section from the forum

https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page2.asp

I think I am making this harder than it looks by reading into the manual several time on the above sections. Could someone please help me with wiring the starter kill relay or do I need the relay?

Thank you in advance for the help and sorry for the long post – just wanted to be thorough.
Rick
