Bought a 2000 Durango 5.9 with a security system and remote start, APS-996C, with an Audivox ELVNTRCA  5BCR03B remote, has 5 buttons and a screen with a car in it, ( no instructions or manual) took a while to figure out how to make the remote work, but finally did, loaned the vehicle to a relative, who said the battery went dead in the Durango, after recharging, the alarm system came on, not sure what was done to stop the alarm, no one seems to know, but now the remote does not work correctly. When the remote start is hit sometimes the alarm comes on then it starts, sometimes the front windows go down,  the three puffs of smoke on the remote vehicle are missing, also the clock time is missing.  Installed a new battery in the Durango and the remote, no help.   Any suggestions?   Thanks  Z/

Might need to reprogram tach. You might hav a window module of somekind as far as the windows are concerned. The manual for your alarm and reprogramming of the tach should be found on the audiovox website. LMK
