I have a 92 acura legend and I'm trying to setup the rear defogger to kick on when I remote start the car.
I was looking in my viper 5900 manual and in the H3 connector the blue/white wire says its for the defogger. Previously it wasn't hooked up.
So if I run this to my factory wiring (seen here http://www.atfinley.com/service/index.php?x=0000&y=1211&z=2690&r=0934 )
Do I need a trigger or something to make it kick on? can someone tell me how to wire it? My plan was to wire it to the BLACK/ green wire. Would that work?
Noob looking for some help :)

Have you verified what type of signal triggers the deffoger to come on at the switch?

Get a meter! Set it to read twenty volts dc ?Go to the switch in the dashboard! ground the black lead of the meter and probing the wires at the back of the switch notice if any recieves voltage as the deffoger is switched on this would be a positive reading! If you didn't get any readings, locate a twelve volt source somewhere right in the dash area and attach the red probe to this source and using the black lead notice if any wire causes the meter to read voltage with the deffoger being activated this would be a negative signal!
