wire colors ungo k20 into 2000 crown vic

Hi all,

I am told that since all I want to do is use a keyless remote on my 2000 Crown Vic (no keyless ability now, just power locks), I just need to connect the Lock, Unlock, 12v, and ground from the Crown Vic to the Ungo K20.  No idea if its really that simple but am willing to try.  I have access to the door wires by removing the switch panel on the door, and have made the following chart:

Wire function/K20 wire color/Crown Vic wire color

unlock/Blue&BLACK/ Pink&LightGreen

lock/Green&BLACK/ Pink&Yellow

ground/BLACK/ Black

power/RED / ?

Within the door I have the switch panel C503 as shown on this page http://www.p71interceptor.com/lightedswitches/

The lock/unlock wires are easy enough to locate on the harness, and there are several black ground wires, but I do not see a constant 12v wire there.  I found the 12v wire under the dash, but was hoping to avoid having to remove the door panel and also having to thread a wire through that rubber conduit between the door and chassis.  Thanks for any help.  Thanks

You can do all the wiring inside the car.  All the wires are found in the kick panel.  Makes a lot more since that way too, you don't really want the keyless module in the door. 

What part of texas are you in?  We install them for 50 bucks

You may not have the transmitter for keyless.... but the car more than likely HAS keyless entry.

In this case the locks are IN THE DOOR. Posative pulse, same colors (the keyless module is in the door!)

Well then there ya go! My info says "no keyless" locks are reverse polarity in the kick.

It will def be five wire locks on the the police interceptor.  You can catch the wires coming from the door boot to the inside of the vehicle.  On the drivers side the e-brake might put you in a tight spot.  They should be pretty easy to find in the passenger kick.  You can run your 12v and ingnition over from the steering column, and mount the keyless module in the passenger kick or behind the glove box.  Make sure you fuse your wires coming from the column if your run is gonna be more than a few inches.
