remote start add on

Hi guys,

I was a Mobile Electronics Installer for 6 years.. I haven't installed anything for 8 years now-lol. Anyway, my new boss wants me to install a Valet Add-On remote start to his factory installed keyless entry on his '06 Acura MDX. (This unit was removed from his previous vehicle-fun) He also has the immobilizer bypass box- 561U, I think it was. Now for my question: I remember being able to install an add on remote start to factory keyless entry systems and it ONLy being activated by the keyless entry system and NOT by the door lock switches. I would press the lock button twice on the remote and the two pulses would activate the remote start. I remember something like an "ignore" wore or something like that- that I would hook up to the switch itself- any help on this would be appreciated.

Another question: I see on the '06 wiring info sheet, it mentions a "key sense" wire... Is this anything to worry about? Does this get connected to the status output? Thanks again!!

Thanks for the reply, JWorm. Yeah,  some customers (or in my case, my boss) are picky and want to keep their factory remotes. Then to integrate aftermarket, you have to do a lot of extra wiring...

Anyway, what if he's ok with using the key to open the door... is there a keyless entry module that I can grab the lock wire from so that hitting the lock switch a couple of times won't cause the remote start to activate? I might be able to use the status output wire of the remote start to cut ignition from the keyless entry module so that it doesnt know the car is running.
