I had my factory keyless entry system go out on me so I decided to replace it with an aftermarket system.  However I'm at a stand still.  Can anyone help me with the DEI-451M relay for the Pathfinder.  I'm not sure what wires to connect to, and what ohms to set for the diodes.  I have figured out everything else, but what needs to be done for the relay.  Thanks.

Should be no need whatsoever for a 451M in that car, unless the factory power doorlocks have somehow been damaged.
What keyless entry system are you installing?

I am using an Omega REC-12.

How would I bypass the factory system then?  I think what might be throwing me off is that I say a similar install on autotoys.com and they showed the use of the 451M and some diodes.  Hey maybe they were wrong, but then what color wires am I looking for to lock and unlock the doors?  And what should be done to bypass the factory system?

Thank you very much!!!

I think Chris is telling you that the unit has at least neg lock outputs that should be able to control the pathfinder's lock triggers without the need for external relays or diodes.  It's up to you to work this out from the provided installation notes, and to get the vehicle info from vehicle wiring on this website.

Actually the REC-12 does not have a locking mechanism, so the 451M is necessary.  By the way, does anyone know where to find the parking light wire on a 2001 pathfinder?  I tried the pink/blue on the SECU and it didn't work.  Not sure where else to look.

Thanks.

Junk this unit. If it has no lock/unlock wires how can it be a keyless entry system?  Also how will it enable a 451 whick uses lock/ unlock wires from the main unit to trigger it?

Power Unlock          YELLOW          (-)          SECURITY MODULE LEFT OF STEERING COLUMN     REQUIRES DOUBLE PULSE. PowerLock          LIGHT GREEN          (-)          SECURITY MODULE LEFT OF STEERING COLUMN
Your Omega has (-) lock and unlock ouputs. The green lock wire will go to the light green lock wire of your car. The blue wire will go to the yellow unlock wire of your car. In your programming you will need to change feature 5 to dbl unlock.
No need for the 451m

Easiest place to get parking lights on the car is at the back of the dash dimmer.
And the factory power doorlocks do work, correct? It's only the keyless entry remote that doesn't work? If you turn the key in the outside driver's door, the doors will lock and unlock?
Like the others said, if your keyless system doesn't have doorlock outputs, it couldn't control the 451M even if you wanted it to.

Let me restate.  It has the ability to support the power door locks, but it needs a relay.  It has a three prong connection to support the 451M bypass.  I have figured out how to connect it properly, but the parking lights are giving me problems.  autotoys support swears that it's the Pink/Blue wire on the SECU.  It didn't work though.  I'll have to check it with a multimeter to see if it gets 12V when the parking lights are turned on.

Are you sure that I can use the dimmer wire in the dash?  Won't that mess with something else?

Thanks.

Testing each wire before connecting to it is standard install practice.
Connecting wires without first testing, is pretty risky.
Also, I think every Pathfinder / QX4 remote start I've ever done, I've always used the parking light wire at the dimmer switch.
NOTE: There's also a pink/black at the dimmer switch, that will test as a positive parking light wire with the dimmer unplugged......but it's really the dimmer wire. If you try to power this as a parking light wire, the dimmer switch burns out.
The correct parking light wire should be pink/blue.
