Hi,

I have a Delta Pro-2000 2-way car alarm that was installed about 10 years ago.  The remote I have is getting REALLY beat up and is starting to act funny.  I've tried the shop that I got the alarm installed at and he said he couldn't help me but he'll sell me a new car alarm.  I would prefer not to get a new car alarm/starter because the car is over 10 years old.  Is the remote interchangeable with any other brands?

The remote has an FCCID of OARR447675 and I've seen 3 button remotes on some sites that share the same FCCID.  My remote has 4 buttons, but the 4th button is just a pager reset button.  Thanks for any help.

Just some humble advice, a system of that age would have most likely gone out of circulation a while now and more than likely replaced by newer more sophisticated models, so you might find it a tad difficult to find replacement parts to keep your system functioning as it should. And should you locate a replacement it would be wise to purchase two of these, in the event you should lose one, because after ten years the current remote won't last you much longer, replacing these two remotes may be quite costly. And of course you can't tell when the actual control module will just crap out on you.

So what i'm saying is, basic alarms aren't that costly, they may be a bit more than the price you would spend for the remotes, but in the long run it would be a wiser choice on your part.

P.S if you disagree with me, read my signature, and please go easy on me. Cheers.
