what kind of keyless unit is it...does it have both +/- door lock outputs...? What do you mean "after so long it will only lock but no unlock..."? On some units that have +/- outs...you either need to add some diodes...or in some cases,relays...! If you unplug one ...lets say lock...does the unlock work...then try other side...But if you can get more specific...Like what unit you installed ...and does the un-lock ever work...Those are resistant base door locks right...?

describe "how" you did the lock/unlock.... it's a 1 wire system thru resistance.

When doing a remote start there is a lot to do to get the vehicle to disarm and unlock.

I would say check your resistor values...

alright for more specifics it is a marksman m2a im using a relay module so that it only puts negative pulses and i have resistors on the lines tied in between the switch and the i/p..... yes while the whole system is up you can lock and unlock all day long but if you let it set for more than an hour the unlock doest work but you can use the lock all you want and it will lock.. its like the body module is going to sleep

Sounds to me like you've taken your power supply from a "sleeper circuit" run your power supply from the battery, then try again.

Johnson, you might be wrong, certain circuits stay live for about 10 mins then dump, I've had 05 BMWs where the igniton live goes dead. Thus you've got power to lock, wait 10mins or whatever, then you've lost power. The only way to find out is to make a  temp. join to the battery.

Have you put your meter on the unlock wire when it is not unlocking...? Maybe start there and make sure your getting a good signal...

Please satisfy my curiosity and run the power supply and ground to your vehicle battery, either that or use the vehicle every 20 minutes.
