Hello! I was refered to this forum by the technicians at Compustar since they said that they see a lot of good information given here on installing their products.
I bought a Compustar system on Ebay to put in my 99 Grand Am and then realized that while this system in supposed to be much better than the Bulldog systems I have used in the past, there is zero to little information given to help us normal Joes to figure out how to install it. I have searched the web and found some wiring schematics and that has helped a lot but I still have some specific questions.
1; When wiring the starter, which wire do you use? The one coming out of the harness runs to a relay and I have no idea of which one to use coming out of it.
2; What is the 2nd Ignition wire for?
3; I bought a Passlock-SL2 to interact with the starter. Am I correct that the only wire that hooks up between the starter module and the passlock, is the blue (-) while running, and hook it to the Black wire (CN2 - wire 2) on the module?
4; I bought this module as it was a good deal but I do not plan to use the alarm function. What do I do with all the wires that are not needed? Can I just wire-tie them together and leave alone, or do I still need to hook them up?
I sure appreciate any help that you gents can give me. Thanks in advance!

Ok, I answered a few of my own questions when i found the actual wiring directions for my model of remote start.
But Please help! I cannot find the parking light wire! I have tested all the brown wires in the passenger kick panel and none of them are reading 12 volts. There are about 6 brown wires there and all but one are very small gauge wire. The Wire coming out of the remote start module is 14 gauge wire, am I supposed to be finding a similar gauge to tie into? Is there another place to look?

Ok, If I could go back and delete both of these posts, I would do it. After getting it all installed, found that the control module is bad. It will not register the tach, it will not register the remotes, either one of them.
Thus, all the work for nothing! This was a new system but since I bought it second hand, I have no recourse. $150 down the drain!
