I am attempting to install a Commando remote start/keyless entry system.  Specifically the EZ 2500 system.  I have the dash open, and the wiring points located(mostly).  The first problem is, I cannot find the ECM.  Commando's directions say under the hood on the firewall.  Nope.  Maybe under the dash?  The tach wire is supposed to be in the forty pin connector.  Can't find a forty pin connector on either of the "boxes" under the dash.  So, can someone please describe the ECM so I will know what I'm looking for?

Second, Commando's directions seem to have been through several translations, leading to even more confusion.  I have found a wire that shows voltage when the doors are unlocked, and another,  that when grounded, locks the doors.  I partially removed the armrest, and the window and door and mirror switches are all integrated into one unit, so I cannot follow the wires from the door lock switch.  I have looked at the diagrams available here, and am still confused.  More assistance, please?

The directions on this site say there is a 26 pin plug in the drivers kick panel that has the door lock wires.  Not on my car.  Door lock wires are supposed to be green and blue.  That is what I have found color wise, but they are definitely not in the locations stated here.  My plugs are yellow, blue, and white.  None are 26 pin plugs.  They are not numbered, either, so how do you count the pins?

Thanks for any assistance you can give.

For lock and unlock, use the wires found in the yellow plug in the drivers kick. lock/arm is brown, unlock/disarm is pink. Disar/unlock requires double pulse!

I would get the tach from behind the guage cluster. Blue wire (pin 12 of a 20 pin plug)
