Hi! I made the installation of this unit, everything seems to go right, except for when I open the door and shut it, it triggers instantly but the lights flash in a different pace (slower and seems a bit discoordinated sometimes) than when it is triggered "normally" - (I havent installed the siren yet so I have no sound from the triggering). I made the complete installation, I just discarded the wire that goes to the relay, the one that cuts off the ignition wire. And another question, when insert my key on the ignition and turn to the "on" position and if I step on the break pedal it shuts the doors, is there any other way to make the doors open without turning the key back to the "off" position. My car is VW Polo 1.0 ('97)

I dont know To much but heres my $0.02. I installed a Fusion Alarm systm on my Civic. It has a feature that causes the lights to flash when the door is open and the car is running.... Could be something similar?UNLABELED Custom Car Club President

It's not the same. I think in your case it's the "hijack" function. to me it happens only when the car is turned off in the other hand I havent tried it while running. But it's kind of weird, unless I press the button on the remote it won't stop flashing and like I said before the flashing pace is slower than the "normal" pace (when it is triggered). I'm kinda newbie in this stuff, and I installed it all myself so it may happen that something is wrong.

I installed one of these that the customer supplied on a Polo, did exactly the same thing made customer throw it away and fit a Clifford instead. I've said it before, they are rubbish!

Indeed it was cheap stuff. But, it works perfectly besides that. Since you've tried it, can you just tell me one thing (cuz i haven't installed the siren), when the error i mentioned happens does it sound? or is it just the flashing lights? cheers

Yes it does also sound the siren. At which point I said bugger it and phoned the customer with enough is enough. I might add that a Polo of that vintage is an easy car to do with very few problems. I've installed Clifford, Viper Hornet, Code, Cobra, Scorpion with never any problems. The only weak link  was the central locking vacuum pump just inside the right hand rear light unit.  It used to get water ingress on it's circuit board.
