2006 mercedes c 230, i am putting a python alarm into this car and unsure where where to find the door lock/unlock wires, as well as the door pins and trunk pin wire.  i beleive i found the ignition wires coming from the smart key port . how about the domelight instead of the individual door pins? where is the domelight wire? i've heard of lots of unsuccessful attempts with mercedes vehicles, should i just stay away from this car? or is somebody sure of the wire colors and locations? or for that matter, has anyone ever put an alarm in a 2006 c 230 and had success? heeeeeeeeeeelp! thanx in advance
i am an idiot

Somewhere at the rear or under the rear seat is the vacuum control for the locks. You will pick up all the door/trunk and possibly hood switch there, also the lock/unlock wires. Probably blue lock and black unlock, or vice versa.  Extend lock pulse to effect window/roof close. DO NOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES Pick up any wiring from the ignition switch before testing with a DMM. It's safer and easier to run out to an engine bay fuse box and pick these and the lights up from the fuse box/ processor outputs. Don't worry about dome supervision, the dome lights will come on with unlock. If not use driver's door lead.

Sorry I can't be more precise but I've only done audio and phone work on post 2000 models. The cost of making mistakes is too high.
