clifford ace 7500 won't shut off

We have this Cliffor w/remote start enabled in a 1994 Toyota Supra.

We only had the companion remote when we bought the car.  It went bad and we hadn't used in over a year to set/reset the alarm.  We purchased a replacement remote (DEI 904100) and planned to program today, while having to replace the battery's starter cable.

Replaced the battery cable, but did not seem to be able to configure the remote/alarm according to the instructions (no confirmation chirps).  However, later when driver's door was opened to retry programmiing, the alarm went off.  I could not reset/disarm with the "non-programmed" remote and ended up having to unplug the alarm brain, to make it stop.  Of course, while unplugged, the car will not start.

How do I disarm the system and keep it disarmed until a remote is properly programmed?  I can't even start the car, to take to a tech (if that's what is necessary).  I found ACE 7500 owner's manual online, but can't seem to find the install guide.

Help please.

Many thanks!  Looks like we can now start the car consistently w/o the alarm going off.  Kinda late tonight, so will reprogram the remote tomorrow and let ya know how it goes.

Still not able to use the valet switch to program or disarm the alarm.  I found the install manual and the valet switch tests correctly, yet the system is not responding as it should.

I have 3 power (12V) wires going to the battery.  All the power is testing properly as well.  I am thinking the brain is malfunctioning.  Is there a way to disable the alarm all-together, without removing/uninstalling all of the connections?  I would like to disable the alarm, allow the car to start/function normally, until I can install a replacement alarm.

From the ignition switch connections, I jumpered the starter wire and the ingnition (+) wires which were cut for the install (starter/ignition disable).  I jumpered each at the connector which went to the brain, with maybe 2 inches of equal guage wire (taped up and protected well).  I removed the brain and left the rest of the wiring/connectors in place, for use/reference for the future/new alarm's install.

I think this is all I had to do, but please let me know if I should address anything else which may cause driveability issues.
