hornet 727t issues

hi everyone! last time I was here I wanted to install an alarm in to my 08 vw rabbit and to everyone's advise I didn't do it, just installed a shock sensor to the hood switch and I'm very happy with it. now I have another issue with my wife's 09'honda crv we have just purchased. no factory alarm in the base model and to an installer's advise he installed a hornet 727t and it seemed like a very good (idea)unit, but I'm having issues with it and the only thing they did to it, to adjust the sensitivity(there it seems that it's working fine and after I leave it will do the same thing) and in my opinion it's not the issue. every time I open the doors w/remote I'm getting multiple chirps. sometimes it will turn on the full alarm after a couple of second that I have closed the doors. by the way, the alarm can be activated or deactivated by the door switch. if I turn off the sensitivity the alarm will chirp twice w/doors closed but doesn't have any shock sensitivity at all. what I have noticed that if I turn the sensitivity a bit higher the alarm will see the doors opening as somebody kicked my car or something. any advice would be appreciated since I don't know what else I could do and it looks like the installer doesn't have any idea how to fix this.2008 VW Rabbit

Your post is a bit vague! Wen you say you get two chirps upon arming, is it one then followed by another within a couple seconds? Also when you are disarming count the number of chirps and refer to the manual it will tell you which zone is being triggerd!

thank you for answeringI know it's not easy to understand. I didn't want to write to much. the two chirps are the usual closing two chirps(one after another fast). I did that and it was showing that the door it was triggering the alarm.2008 VW Rabbit

It's either you have the wrong door wire connected, or a faulty door switch!

Or possibly a sleeping bcm, i dunno, just guessing with that one, maybe someone else could shed some light on the matter!

if I hold the door switch I can activate the alarm, so it's working then.2008 VW Rabbit

first of all the unit itself has to be mounted securely or on a hard surface or loose between wires? in the manual it says that it has to be loose, but then how it transmits the shocks to the shock sensors? it was loose and now I used some zip tights to secure it a bit. it is mounted under the left air vent duct in the dash. every time they were removing that vent to adjust it. it's pretty stupid if you ask me. I opened the side of the dash and secured it there and now I have to pop open the side of the dash to adjust it. much easier now. 2008 VW Rabbit
