ok i'm doing a 1998 boneville and it has the vats system in it (pill in the shaft of key) and i took a reading from the resistor with my digital meter set at 20k and i got a reading of 1.46 so i got my resistors and kept adding till i got 1.45 is this good? will it work? this is my first vats bypass with a relay i read somewhere here that the resistors are not reliable in cold weather is this true? and is there anything else anyone can tell me about this car that i need to know. o yea i'll be putting in a viper 160 xvl   thanks for all the help

yes, the closer you get to the number the better, and you arent going to get much closer unless you were dead on

no,it shouldnt at all, some problems occur because within 10% tolerance is usually acceptable,so many installers would just get within 10% and be done, but in your case youve gotten almost dead on, youll be fine
