I just bought a 1985 porsche 944.  I got a brand new battery and stuck it in but when I hooked it up the horn just stays on.  I believe it has something to do with the alarm system.  Can anyone help me please.  Thank you.

My notes say no factory security...Maybe aftermarket...?? Is it just a 944...Or a 944s...Or a 944s turbo...Or 944 s2...And so on...

Methinks this is the regular horn and you have a shorting horn push inside the steering wheel. They never went to factory security till early 90s, it was under right front seat in 911s

I was told it was just a 1985.5 944.  How would I tell if it is a S2 or what not.  I already checked the title and it just says it is a 2 Door.  I was told by the previous owner that it had an alarm system in it so I am assuming that it must be aftermarket if it didnt come stock until the 90's.  I pulled the fuse and relay for the twin tone horn and then tried hooking the battery back up and it still does the same thing.

Thanks a bunch guys I figured it out.  I ended up calling the prev. owner and he told me that whenever I hook up a battery the alarm will go off.  So I have to click the button on my keys.  Just a simple fix.  Thanks a lot for the help.
