I bought a viper 160 xv and will install it to my corolla 2004 (auto), do I need a bypass for it? it's my first time to try to do this, anybody can give some detailed installation information? if there is a video that's the best.
thanks
happy everyday

Look up the vehicle wiring guide on this site, it's your best friend, it's one of the easiest to do.

Here's some basic info I posted on another forum when these cars first came out. Sorry the pictures are gone.

2004 doesn't have an immobilizer, only 2005-up. So you don't need any kind of bypass module, and won't have to lose any of your keys.
As the others have said, this is an easy, straightforward car, a good one to learn on.
There are no videos that I know of. You might have some luck looking around YouTube.
Don't forget to use the search feature here, as the Corolla has been covered many times.
Except for the addition of the immobilizer in 2005, and moving the domelight switch from the dashboard to the headlinder, all 2003-2008 Corollas are pretty much the same. If you find tech tips for another year Corolla, they'll apply to your car too.
Also don't forget to search for the Toyota Matrix and Pontiac Vibe.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
