Hey guys, I could use some help.
I installed a compustar 1w900fm remote starter about a year and a half ago. Recently my truck battery died and was replaced. Since then, the remote start and horn beep functions have not worked, but the doors will still lock and unlock with the remote. I assume that the brain was fried. The brain model is a CM4200-VD. Do you know where I could get a replacement, or if there is a different one that would be plug and play?
Thanks, Jon

It  probably just went into valet mode when the battery was replaced.I think you can take it out of valet with the transmitter. Look on the back of the transmitter. Do you still have the button diagram sticker......if so, it should say something about valet mode. You should also be able to cycle the key on and off 5 times to take the system out of valet.

Sorry, you can NOT post a reply.
