Hi,
Can anyone recommend a cheap and desent remote start untit. I need it to have a trigger wire, that can be used to start the car, in addition to the remote. Don't care about range or any other features.
Thanks.

DEI 562T works well, and is fairly inexpensive.

The words cheap and decent (correct spelling) don't go together, also once you mention fleabay I just want to laugh and think good luck with electronic/electrical products.

Okay, ignoring the fleabay aspect for a second, do you think Autostart is a decent remote-start unit?

please dont take this the wrong way, because i honestly dont mean for it to be offensive, but if you are installing this, are you experienced at installing remote starters, or at least fairly mechanically and electrically inept to pull it off? the reason i ask is because, no matter what remoter start you get, good, bad, cheap, expensive, it will only be as good as the install. the best remote start money can buy wont be very good at all if its not properly done.

No offense taken. I've installed several remote starters in my previous cars and I'm fairly confident that I can pull this off.
I'm not asking for a cheap unit to save extra $10, I need a cheap one bcause I don't want to overpay for features that I won't be using. My remote start will be triggered by another unit, not the remote control that comes with it... If I screw this up, I'm ready to pay an installer to fix it, this project is more of a hobby than anything else.

Omega makes some add on units that are triggered from another unit that do not cost alot. i believe almost any stand alone unit out there that comes with a remote, also has an external activation wire too.

I'll check out Omega, thanks. The reason I started asking is because I looked at Bulldog Do It Yourself Remote Starter and didn't not find a wire like that. And also it isn't a recommended brand according to some forums...
