Hi guys Doing a remote start on a 2005 Sequoia never really done a Toyota and was wondering if I could find the data Imo and Imi wires for the xk05 at the the ingnition where the key goes like on the Hondas. If not where would be the easiest place just a little confused by the instructions that the xk05 comes with.

The XK05 sucks and you have to run wires all over the place. I've never used one of those on a Toyota, as competitors' products are so much better.
The Fortin KEY-OVERRIDE-SL2 or KEY-OVERRIDE-ALL, or any of the iDatalink pieces, are much much better, allowing all easy connections right at the keyswitch.

I was wondering if you have successfully installed the remote starter with the XK05. I am planning to install the Viper 5901 on my sequoia 06 so if you have any tip or advice, it would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

DEI has recently come out with a new version of firmware for the XK05.  The older Toyota version, PKT2, worked OK but was difficult to install.  The new version, 5.PKTI, is very easy to install.  All to connections are at the ignition switch.  I have used the XK05 & 5.PKTI setup on several Tundras' and Seinnas' with excellent results.

The firmware download is free, all you need is the XKLOADER cable.  Here is alink to the XK05 info:  http://www.xpresskit.com/product.aspx?productid=346

Update:  The 5.PKTI firmware does not work on older Sequoias, only  2008-2010.  The PKT2 firmware will work but has wires going behind the instrument cluster and the glovebox ( to the ECM ).  iDatalink has a solution where all the wiring is done at the ignition switch.

Soldering is fun!

I did not find PKALL in the list of compatible modules so I went with the XK05 for the bypass and XK01 for door lock/unlock. They both work great. However with the XK05, I had to tap the IMO/IMI wires at the ECM.
