autopage rs730 remote wont program

To all alarm gurus familiar with autopage alarms i can use your help. I just recently installed my autopage rs730 two way alarm with remote start. My problem is i can't program my remote. I followed the instructions to the "T". "turn key to on position 3 times and leave on, then press valet button 2 times and hold on 2nd. I hear the chirp to let me know its is programing stage and instructions state hold down any key to till alarm confirms with a chirp. I only end up hearing the 3 chirps stating its exiting the program mode. I test the remote and I get "out of range". I also held the remote right next to the antenna and unplugged and plugged it back in. I've tried resetting the alarm via valet button programming and also disconnecting the battery to reset it. And remote still says out of range. Any help will do. Thanks!

Does the One-Way remote work...? I know there was a few issues with some of there 2-way remotes...We have been basically swapping out old remotes for the new style remotes...! Might just be a faulty remote...especially if the one - way will learn...Maybe someone else will have something more specific...!M.E.C.P & First-Class
