To use the 520T, does the alarm brain need a dedicated backup battery input or can I connect the brain's, 2 Red and RED / White Constant Power Input wires to the 520T's Grey wire?

I wired it up and it works fine except I'm concerned about the significate difference in 12v wire gauge on the 520T (small) vs the alarm brain (thick).

Since the 520T is always "in-line" with the alarm's 12v input, it (520T) is always providing voltage to the brain, even when triggered normally, i.e., even when the trigger is not the disconnected car battery.

Hope I explained myself...

Correction: the alarm is a Crime Guard 850i, not a Clifford.

My research is telling me I can't (shouldn't) use the 520T with my brain as the power inputs are 30amps, necessary for the remote start capability.

Even if I don't use the remote start capability, is it still a bad idea to use the 520T with my alarm?

Only connect the red wire of the alarm supply to the brain to the 520t's grey wire, the other heavy gauge remote start wires are to be connected to a good source of twelve volts!
