It''s pretty simple to re-program are you sure you're doing it properly, turn ignition ON, press valet switch three times, turn ignition OFF then back ON, and press it four times after the first chirp is heard, this would enter into menu 5 passive and active arm option, 2 chirps= passive arming!

My new installers always seem to have an issue with waiting for the chirp after you turn the key back on! Be sure to do this!

There is no "reset to default" deal for Audiovox....there should be, but there isn't.
From what T & T Tech says, that sounds right if I'm remembering correctly.
Remember, that the siren chirps only tell you which setting you're at.....you have to remember in your head which feature you're on.
For example:
1. key on.
2. valet switch 3 times.
3. key off.
4. key on.
Now, you're going to be in Feature 1. You're also going to hear a certain number of chrips.......the amount of chirps tell you if you're in the first setting, or second, or third.
Hit the valet switch again and release.
Now you're in Feature 2. Once again, the siren chirps tell you where your setting is.
Slowly, while looking at the guide, hit the valet button once more......now you're on Feature 3 (but you have to KNOW this, as there's no indication)...........hit it again, Feature 4..........
hit it again, and now you're in Feature 5........ listen to how many chirps.
If it's not where you want it to be, hit the Lock button on the remote until you hear the number of chirps corresponding with what you want it to be.
P.S. This alarm should have separate settings for Passive Arming, and Passive Locking.....be sure not to confuse the two. It's Passive Arming that you want to turn off.
