infiniti g20 2nd starter wire

L installed a viper 761 in my step daughters car about a year ago a 2000 infinity g20,It was cold this morning and her car would not start,she said it has happened before, it will start with the key,I did wire the second starter like this 86-purple 2nd starter wire from dei module 87,85 12 volt 30 to green and black 2nd starte wire on car Am i missing something? any help will do

I'm guessing you hooked up the tach wire and the tach signal was learned?Kevin Pierson

Well if it worked then, why would it not work now? You probably need to re-learn tach. Or test your connections to make sure they are receiving the same input signal with the key before/after crank and when the remote start is activating.

When a Nissan vehicle won't remote start in the cold the 2nd starter wire is always the first thing to check.  If the 2nd starter relay is hooked up correctly then the tach signal should be verified.Kevin Pierson

It only happens when it is cold and set overnight, I am just wondering if the relay to the 2nd starter is right?

Yes, if you hooked it up like described it should work.  It would be easy enough to test it with a volt meter.  Did you hook up and learn tach?  it is also possible, although unlikely, that the relay failed.Kevin Pierson

I vote for no tach hooked up and or hooked up and not learned.A DMM is a beautiful thing.
