01 saturn sc2, must see a negative?

im installing a remote car starter and all went well but my service light is on??? it says keysense wire must see a (-)negative during remote start to keep service light from coming on. what does this mean exactly. do i really tap a negative ground wire into this wire or what? thanks alot guys

yup use a relay and give it , negative ignition....its a saturn thing.

If you tell us what kind of remote starter is installed, we should be able to tell you which output to use.

Any decent R/S should have a wire labelled GWR, or ground whilst activated (or running). If this is being used for another function, such as a by-pass, branch off, diode in line (1N 4004) with the band towards the alarm and for safeties sake run to 85 on relay, constant 12v+ at 2amp fused to 86, good ground to 30 and 87 to key-sense wire.

its a bulldog security remote starter. moder RS82. i installed it and all went well it starts perfect. its just the service and security light are on. how do i install a relay to this wire?
