I want to know what would protect my car better a shock sensor or an audio sensor

Or maybe both hooked up would be better?

Any help would be appreciated

Mike

IMO - neither.
But I am not an installer, merely someone that laughs every time my vehicle or a Harley sets off a shock sensor.
Audio sensors are even more prone to false trigger (what level do you set, and what do you filter out?)
A tilt sensor - maybe.
I prefer plain switch sensing with a microwave detector set for anyone entering the cabin. That way I can keep windows open etc.
However, installers should be able to advise if aftermarket systems have improved.

I do work in the industry but I have never used an audio sensor before

shock sensors are usually a pain also

the reason I am asking is because I just had my car broken into and I hadn't got around to installing either of the above mentioned products yet, they broke the glass, crawled in and took my deck

I guess if I were to have both or one or the other and hopefully get it set up properly I should be good to go

I just don't want to make it easy for the thieves

Never did the audio sensor! But shock sensors a great once mounted, adjusted and re-adjusted properly!

The one on my personal vehicle i have it mounted over the instrument panel between the airduct and the top of the dashboard, it senses all four windows as well as the front and rear windshield, where i park during my nine to five is about five feet away from the major road, where trucks, cars (with all the loud goodies), motorcycles even trailers pass, in a scale of about one to ten i would get one false trigger, which isn't bad at all considering the safety effect!

Of course this is my car which i have adjusted and re-adjusted to suit my needs! So good luck!
