yes you will need a bypass all you will need is a universal transponder if your willing to lose a key or a a bypass that has a transponder in it.
but if i was you i would get something like the PKUCH2X for the bypass it will take care of the transponder and the MUX ignition at the same time.
This will save you the time of having to do relays and resistors and make the installation a lot easier.
you can find them on the web or ebay both.
if you want detail pics and wire chart send an email to weldrite@daktel.com and label the subject with town and country

Comments :
Note :This vehicle is equiped with a immobilizer system that needs to be bypassed, (transponder)
(1) If not equiped with Security Lock will be 4,7 Kohms and Unlock 1.8 Kohms on the PURPLE / Green wire, Pin 21.
See picture for the emplacement in the connector. (Third Connector from the Top at BCM).If Equiped with door security,
Unlock is between 7.5K to 10K and Lock is between 1.8K to 2.3K on the PURPLE / Blue on pin 14. it require 2 pulse to unlock the door.
(2) Power trunk is PURPLE / Tan (-), Use 1.5 Kohms resistor if it have the factory alarm. ( Second connector from the Top at the BCM )
Left Slidding door : between 3K to 6.6K ohms, Right Slidding door: between 1.4K to 1.8 Kohms onto the PURPLE / White Wire on the
(Third connector from the Top at BCM). Pin 1. See the BCM Picture into the Diagram Section
(3) For Anti-theft diagram see diagram. If not done that way, you will have a feedback from the ignition after the B.C.M. shut down..
(4) A second Starter pulse is needed on the PURPLE / Brown (KeySensor.) with a negative pulse throu a 180 ohm resistor.
You must use a Relay with a output Programme as Start. (Must Be A Start Pulse Verry Important).
