Almost finished with an install of a remote start on a 2007 Hyundai Santa Fe integrated with the factory keyless entry system.  The R/S unit is a Crimestopper RS-901 add-on unit (same as the RS-900 w/o keyless entry).  Just have two questions:

Do I need to use the dis-arm/re-arm features of the R/S?

What is the best trigger for the remote start since the door locks will only pulse one time without lock-unlock-lock?  I can use single or three pulse input.

Thanks!

I do not have time to draw you a diagram right now.  You could use 2 diodes and use lock, unlock, lock to trigger the unit.  Someone will explain for you if needed.  I will do it this evening if nobody has anything for you today.

Also you need to make sure your keyless entry will still work with the vehicle running.  Key in ignition and vehicle running, can you unlock the doors with the factory keyfob?

I solved the problem with the keyfob by using relays to kill the ignition feeds to the BCM, seems to work great.  I'm familiar with the lock, unlock, lock with diodes but I was hoping to use only the lock feature.  Anyone had any luck using the factory alarm horn output as a trigger?

The problem with using the lock motor wire is that the factory K/E system will only pulse the door locks one time during the lock sequence regardless of how many times you push the button.  As mentioned earlier, I can use the lock, unlock, lock method but I would like to avoid that on this vehicle if possible.
