I"m installing a remote start system into a honda del sol (93) and everything went with out a hitch until today.  I hooked up the wiring for the relay sat.  per the instruction in the manual, but have encountered a rather serious problem.

The unit is providing CONTINIOUS power on the starter wire.  Currently, the only thing that is keeping the starter from cranking non-stop is the clutch switch and it's respective relay.

Disclaimer:  Yes, I'm aware of the possible safety issues installing a remote start system on a manual transmission, however I have designed and installed a neutral safety switch, that will be double redundant as soon as the next set of swtiches gets here off of back order.

What is odd, is that when the remote is used to start the car, the starter wire voltage drops to zero after the car complete ti's crank cycle and remains there until the remote system is disengaged.  Either by stepping on the brake or using the remote to shut it down, will return the starter wilre to a 12v state again.   THis basicallyl causes the starter to engage anytime the clutch pedal is pressed down.  Shift gears, even with the car off, hit the pedal and the engine will crank.  I've only been able to stop this and return the car to normal function by removing the three fuses from the wires going to the relay sat (500m extreme capacity relay).

My current heavy gauge wire hook up is as follows, for a 1993 honda del sol S:

Red, Red, and RED / white power wire are hooked up to the white (batt) wire going to the ignition switch

Purple wire to starter side of starter wire BLACK/ white

Green wire to key side of starter wire BLACK/ white

Pink wire to ignition BLACK / YELLOW

Pink/white to   WHITE/ black

Orange wire to Yellow

Violet (light gauge relay ribbon wire) to blu/blk on clutch interlock relay

That connection of the violet from the ribbon to the clutch pedal is your problem!
