I am having a problem with the remote starter on a 99 Dodge Ram 2500 auto, I have everything connected including keyless entry (no alarm). The problem is if the doors are locked with the factory remote, when you remote start the factlry alarm goes off.  I have the DISARM wired correctly with a relay and 1.5k ohm resistor.

what diagram did you look at that said you needed a relay and resistor

in the harness coming from the door there should be a negative lt. GREEN/ orange wire in there, wire up factory disarm to this and you should be fine

So i don't need the resistor or relay?

bulldog security says to use a relay and a 1500 ohm resistor.

Connect the resistor to pin 87, then to the LIGHT GREEN/ ORANGE wire in the harness running to the drivers door.

Pin 30 is ground,

Pin 85 is FASD wire from unit

Pin 86 is 12v constant

If you have the proper resistance on the PROPER wire, then what you will need to do is set the remote start to unlock before start and lock after start.
