Hello, I have a 2004 ram 3500  diesel and the viper 791xv in my shop. I do not install the viper brand so I am not familiar. Anyway no functions of this unit work, when I hit any button the fob beeps back three times. As the customer does not have any manuals I dont know the diagnostic schedule of this unit. Also it looks like 1 wire got "warm" on one of the harnesses, again I do not have a schematic for the 791 so I do not know which wire. I cannot seem to locate yet a bypass module, but there is a directed XCRS accompaning the 791 along with a stinger shock sensor that was not plugged in.

Could someone supply a schematic for the 791xv?

Does anyone know what the 3 beeps signify?

Thanks in advance.

Gavin

3 beeps when you try to activate the remote start? That would be an error for those units, it could be hood pin, it could be out of range/bad antenna, the fob may need reprogramming to the vehicle. Does it do anything like locks etc? or does it beep back 3 times like that no matter what? If so i'd try relearning the fob.
