my truck is a ext. cab, but only has 2 doors. i know what wires to use, and where they are, but i am not sure how to hook everything up. i have seen on this site that the polarity of the unlock wire has to be changed. i talked to a local installer and he told me to get the door lock relay module, but when i hook it up like he told me it blows a fuse in the wire. so i am not sure if it is changing the polarity in both wires. if that is the case how can i change the polarity in just 1 wire

i have never used that 451m but you will need to wire both the lock and unlock in a 5 wire configuration
i usually do it this way

I just installed an alarm in one of those today. On the one I worked on it was lt.blue for lock and BLACK/ red for unlock at the drivers kick panel. I didnt use 451m lock module; instead i wired up two relays with 85 and 87 on both relays wired as constant +12v. I also fused this wire with a 10amp fuse too. 86 on both relays are wired to the alarms lock/unlock wires. 30 are going to be your motor side wires and 87a are you're switch side. If you have these wires mixed up, the 10 amp fuse will blow. If you have them correct the locks should function normally.
