1987 4runner parking light wire

The wiring diagrams say it's a green wire in the drivers kick panel - there's a doodie ton of green wires in the driver's kick panel, however. Does anyone know exactly which wire I need to tap? Thanks

The positive parking light wire is the green at the driver's kick panel. It would be the wire that goes positive when the parking lights are turned on. You should test all connections prior to hooking up to them so it would be the wire that behaves as described. Why not use the negative trigger instead? It's the RED / black wire coming down the steering column harness from the switch.Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.

I was looking really for someone who had done it before in this particular truck and knew exactly which wire to tap - as I said, there's a lot of green wires, and I don't find stripping each in turn to measure its voltage an appealing prospect. There's only one connector in there and the parking lights still work when it's unhooked so the parking light wire probably isn't in that harness. In any case, I suppose I could use the negative wire, but the remote start unit only puts out a positive for the parking lights so I'd have to use a relay. Not complicated but I'd like to avoid it if at all possible.
