I want to put a viper 5901 alarm/remote start in my 2009 cobalt SS and I am a little confused about which module I will need, XK06, XK09 or use CANMAX400 DEI. I want all the bells and whistles with this alarm, window roll up, trunk release, power sunroof close. What would be the best way to go about this. I have installed alarms in cars before but nothing this new. I would assume the CAN route would be the best.

think i would go with the DLPK
it will cover the PK3 transponder, resistant starting (ion), doorlocks, trunk, factory alarm control, give you a tach signal, give u all the door and trunk triggers.
as for an all in one solution for everything there is not one that i know of.
the power sunroof and the window roll-ups can be add to aux outputs of the alarm with a window module.
as for the canmax400 what you gain would not be worth it(it not that hard to hook up a brake wire) and you will need to load it with the proper firmware. the dlpk will have the right firmware factory.
xk06 will only do the ion start, and the pk3 bypass.
xk09 is just a multi-platform nothing special but have to load it with the right firmware, it will do the same as the dlpk
