08 maxima intelkey key takeover problem

Installed a Viper 5101 with DLPK.... Car remote starts, locks/unlocks/FAD,FAA no problems there..... The problem I am having is with key take over ...... When you get into the vehicle, the car does not sense the key fob and will not unlock the ignition knob....

Now I do understand there is a (+) RED / black keysense wire and a (+)BLACK/ red knob sense wire.... Both I used (-) status to trigger a relay to send +12v to those wires, knob will not unlock while the car is running...

Used only keysense,knob will not unlock while the car is running..... used only knob sense, knob will not unlock while the car is running.... disconnected both, knob will not unlock while the car is running....

The car WILL start normally with key fob or with the key.... The only time the knob would unlock after remote start is if the key was inserted.....

Makes no sense, any ideas?

From what I read, that the only way to deal with this is to shut the car down and restart after you are in the car.... Does this sound right? Any way around this?

I've never gotten takeover to work on a 2007-2008 Maxima, ever. I've tried keysense, no keysense, and all that.
If you withdraw the metal blade key from inside your Intelligent Key, insert that into the ignition, then you can do takeover....but that's not convenient and is probably not what you want to do.
ADS(idatalink.com) modules have an extra connection on some (not all) Nissans that allows takeover. You might go to their site, look at the install guide for your car, and see if they have it. If so, you could switch over to their module, or maybe try to somehow copy their install setup with the product you already have.

Did you follow the specific Nissan Maxima guide? Or the general Nissan guide? It is at the bottom of this post.
If you look at the RED / blue and RED / black wires and trace them down a bit, you should see a gray plug. On the other side of that gray plug is a orange and I believe a violet wires. These are the wires you need to diode isolate to connect your + keysense wires to. Let's just verify these are the wires you connected.
You can also grab these at the key ring, but the colors are the same there. But 2 of the 4 wires should read 12v constant, and the other two are the ones you need to power up.
IF it still doesn't work, then isolate the intelligent key module wire which should be close to the gas pedal, maybe behind the center console area. This will roughly about a 6x8 in box with a 40 pin plug in it. The wire you will isolate is pin 6 green and this will read + voltage.

^ this was the suppliment that i used..... this only involves connections made at the bcm.... isn't much different than the general nissan connection guide for the dlpk.... my keysense/knob sense wires were made on the "car side" of the gray plug..... not the "key side" of the plug (which had different colors and pin positions) was a 6 pin connector btw not a 4 pin..... BLACK/ red was the knob sense, RED / black was keysense.....i tagged the right wires, even confirmed them with my meter..... no go....

from what i read people using the dlpk on this car have just connected the gray hood shutdown off the brain to the door trigger..... start the car normally acfter you get in.....this i what i did.... sent it on its way....

yeah it sucks that the car shuts down when you open the door but at least ther engine and car will be warm

yea i heard these modules allow key take over, didn't have any on hand to try.... i still want to figure out what it does that the dlpk does not do

Use the  ADS module.  You wont regret it, like the dlpk.
