I have an Eclipse CD2000 that shows that it is locked....Does anyone know a procedure to unlock it, instead of paying eclipse to tell me how to? Thanks

first off.

is this stolen? i would assume so. since it will only lock if both power and ground is removed for a period of time (2 days) and installed previously.

you need the ESN cd that you decided to program to the deck. this is the only way to unlock without the help of the tech support. if not your best bet is to wire it up, call eclipse you need the unlock code. they will ask you for a serial number on the back, do a few sequences to pull up a code. Read them the code, and they will give you back a number. punch that in using the keypad and it will unlock.

this is free by eclipse, you do not need to pay. I used to deal with eclipse so i have done it many times for customers that lost track of their ESN cd.

Actually it's not stolen. It belongs to a coworker that got rid of his car,and I was goin to buy it from him but I hooked it up and it shows to be locked and can't find the cd that goes with it. He called eclipse and said that it would be $25 for them to tell him how to unlock it. They told him that because it was never registered. Not sure how that works. I will try to give them a call in the next couple days. Thanks for the reply
