New guy here. Alarm is viper 3002 with a xk01 module on my 2004 silverado with power locks. No other sensors were installed. I had issues with the door locks not working when the alarm is turned on and off at times. Then when I thought I had them working correctly the siren goes off when I arm the system. I've even waited till the dome light goes off before arming and still the same.

Is there something wrong with the module, settings, or a bad ground?  The ground wires are black, RED / black and PURPLE / black connected together to a metal dash bracket.

Also should I seperate the ground wires?

I do have basic experence in automotive wiring with car stereo systems and my classic 65 chevy chevelle rewire. This is sort of the first time I've messed with a car alarm.

Hello

I have a 2003 Silverado Crew Cab with the Viper 3002 and my rear doors would not lock. Thought is was something with the alarm it's self and i turned out to be just a bad relay. Doing research sounds like a common problem might want to try that first.

I bought one from auto zone and it did not work bought one from the dealer ship and it did work. Just a heads up even the guy at Auto Zone said they have a big problem with their 5 pin relays.
