Hi, I'm wiring up a Viper 571XV remote start system to my Nissan 300zx. I've gotten the constant 12v, starter, ignition, and acc wires soldered and ran to the unit and the door locks. I was planning on just hooking it all up and seeing if it was working correctly (eBay), however I'm getting nothing. Upon inserting the main wiring harness, I can hear a relay inside of the unit kick on. The status LED isn't flashing at all.
Also, when programming the remote, the guide calls for you to turn the ignition, but there's no switched 12v wire for the harnesses. Am I missing something here?

i'm not sure on the specific model of alarm, but.....
you're probably supposed to cut the starter wire, and there will be wires from the module that goes to each side of the cut wire.
this both gives the ignition switch readable by the module, and lets the module act as a starter-interrupt.
double check everything on a 1 by 1 basis, but i think this is a good starting point.

Well I don't have the "heavy gauge relay satellite" but I figured it wouldn't be a problem. I have all of the harnesses to wire it to my doors and also the main harness.
