Hey,
I need to install an external shock sensor on my 5901 which is already mounted and a pain to get to. So I looked at my install instructions what came with the 5901 to see which side I need to get to to install the shock sensor and I can't find it. Nothing mentions the location of the mux port. Can someone please help me out? Thanks
Justin

it is not a MUX port.. but the port you are looking for is located on the same side/edge as the H1 harness

Thanks for answering. Isn't that the D2D module port? I already have an XK01 (Door lock Interface)in the D2D port. OR are you talking about another port? Sorry, wiring diagram isn't infront of me right now, and it's not in the install manual.

Here's what I remember:
As you are looking at the brain from the top with the H1 on the left: the sensor port is on the side counter-clockwise from the H1, near the corner (bottom left).
The previously mentioned port is indeed the D2D port.

the external module port (which is what you should be looking for) is at the corner on the same side as the main primary harness.... the D2D port is on the H1 side of the brain...

I stand by my previous statement regarding D2D port. Not for sure which the sensor port is. Now I think it may be the opposite corner from what I thought. I wonder if KGERRY is referring to the newer Viper 5901 models with the 18-pin harness?
This is the diagram from the DEI 5702 brain (python, viper, clifford) quick reference guide which available in the download section of this forum:

the port you are looking for is inbetween the neutral safety switch and the door lock 3 pin connector.

Yeah, that's where I remember it being (that corner), but after looking at the diagram, I thought maybe my memory was faulty. Maybe I haven't totally lost it!! Not sure why it's not shown on the quick reference diagram.
