I just installed the viper 5902 alarm/remote start in my 2006 chrysler 300c. fantastic toy by the way. I used the dlpkchg2 bypass flashed with chld 7 firmware. my problem here is using the "pit stop" function, here is what it does. I remotely start the car, head lights come on and stay on, I get in, insert my key to the on position, and step on the brake; the car never stops running but my cluster panel with all the gauges and radio will shut off then turn back on as though you turned the car off then on again. then my driving lights will not come on in the auto position, I have to flip the knob to the manual on position to drive or shut the car down then turn it back on before it will work in the auto position. I am not sure if this is a chrysler 300c specific problem or any car in general. I did not hook the Orange accessory wire from the 5902 to my car as I assumed that was not necessary. currently I am playing around with the programming using bitwriter to see if anything gives....no luck there.
I know that someone out there has the solution to my problem, they just haven't stumbled upon my post yet......if you're that guy or girl, PLEEEEse Help

What happens if you turn the starter off with the key fob after inserting the key and turning it to the run position after your "pit stop" I have used this feature on my vehicle with great success I don't however have a bypass unit since it doesn't need one.

thanks for the reply. my cluster and radio momentarily turn off even when i deactivate remote start with the key fob. I ran a couple more tests on it and this is really weird now, the radio will restart about 9 out of 10 times but the cluster panel and guage always reboots if you will. it also does this when i activate remote start while the car has been running. i thought the dlpkchg2 took care of accessory and all.

Did you connect the brown wire to the GWR (dark blue wire in harness 2) even if you used D2D you need to connect this wire.

thanks again for the reply. By GWR, do you mean the viper unit? so brown wire from bypass to dark blue status ouput on viper unit, harness 2. if that is what you're referring to, i dont beleive i did, I must have connected that brown wire straight to chasis ground if i connected that at all. i will take it apart again and verify, then will post that here. thanks

okay sneakycyber, i checked the wiring and i do have the brown from the bypass hooked to start output from the alarm. dark blue wire from the h2 harness. the other brown on the bypass is from a two pin connector which you'd only hook up to ground if your vehicle had no positive starter wire, and mine does.

Does this scenario happen when you do a normal remote start too?

sneakycyber, when i do a normal remote start the car turns over, starts, and all the accessories (radio, climate control, gauge cluster) come on. when i insert the key and switch to on position then step on the brake, they all restart. pretty much anytime i switch between remote start and actual key, either way....the vechicle looses accessory then turns it back on. almost like there is a setting somwhere which causes a delay for accessory to initiate whenever i switch. if it was not getting that accessory power, the guages and radio wont even come on right?
