Well i have a friend thats selling me the avital 5103 for 75$  he is parting ways with he car. I see that online they  sell for around 94+ how good is the system campare to say the Prestige 787n Thats sells for about 80?

i looked at the install book for the 5103 everything lookes straight forward my only question is theres a WHITE/ blue (-) REMOTE START ACTIVATION INPUT wire where those this wire go because i see all the connection from the start and ing. from where the relays is at.

I looked around to find more info on this unit on the forum i see and read that its got its own relays box but someone comment that no need to use diode for it is this true i just dont see on the manuals of anything saying diode ready.

both units are good. depends on what youre more comfortable installing.

you dont need the remote start activation input. this is if you want to active remote start from another source with a pulse (eg factory remotes)

it doesnt have rpm sense locking. you will only have ignition controlled locks.

where if the car is on then shuts off, doors unlock. vice versa for locks.

RPM controlled locks? Yet another great feature offered by the original Clifford product and Compustar but not DEI.

Press trunk button then lock or unlock. This procedure, and a lot more are explained in the owner's manual. Avital has their owner's manuals available for download here.
Installer, IT support, and FFL. I need less hobbies.
